Who are we?

 

Workplace Access & Safety inspects, certifies, specifies and provides expert advice on height safety equipment and access systems throughout Australia.  This includes shopping centres, aged care facilities, government buildings (schools, police stations etc), warehouses and other highrise buildings that by law are required to install compliant access and safety components. Not only do we conduct annual inspections on existing systems, we also specify and design appropriate layouts for new builds or existing buildings which have not yet achieved compliance.

 

What are we offering?

 

Our new team member will conduct height safety audits and inspections as well as assisting our Sales Manager with customer service and support. 

 

As a Site Inspector you will:-

  • conduct day to day on-site inspections, risk assessment and reporting
  • create onsite concept designs
  • prepare estimates for remediation work resulting from risk assessment recommendations
  • ensure that the recommendations are practical and viable
  • enjoy ongoing support from an experienced team of engineers, sales and height safety professionals.

Our ideal candidate has:-

  • A formal qualification in engineering (structural, mechanical or civil)
  • Unrestricted local work rights (it's OK if you are transitioning from a study visa to full residence)
  • At least three years' relevant work experience some of which may be overseas
  • a commitment to exceptional customer service
  • to be willing and able to travel intrastate and interstate as required, with occasional overnight or multi-night stays
  • solid hands-on experience on industrial and commercial sites
  • confidence working at heights
  • the physical fitness and ability to carry a ladder
  • a lock-up garage to store a company vehicle

Although qualifications/experience are important, your personality is just as critical to your success.  We are looking for a team member who:-

  • is well-organised and reliable
  • demonstrates a high level of written and spoken English
  • has excellent client-facing communications skills
  • is a proactive, can-do person who enjoys working autonomously
  • can undertake sometimes repetitive tasks with unwavering commitment and attention to detail
  • is a collaborative team player.
