Who are we?

Workplace Access & Safety conducts Height Safety and Confined Space inspections and risk assessments throughout Australia.  This includes shopping centres, aged care facilities, government buildings (schools, police stations etc), warehouses and manufacturing facilities that by law are required to maintain compliance with relevant legislation. Not only do we conduct annual inspections on existing systems, we also specify and design appropriate layouts for new builds or existing buildings which have not yet achieved compliance.

What is the role on offer?

Our new team member will conduct onsite safety inspections and assessments as well as assisting our existing inspections team with onsite support. 

As a Site Inspector you will:-

• conduct day to day on-site inspections, risk assessment and reporting
• create onsite concept designs
• prepare estimates for remediation work resulting from risk assessment recommendations
• ensure that the recommendations are practical and viable
• enjoy ongoing support from an experienced team of engineers, sales and height safety professionals.

Our ideal candidate has:-

• a formal qualification in engineering (structural, mechanical or civil)
• unrestricted local work rights (it's OK if you are transitioning from a study visa to full residence)
• relevant work experience, some of which may have been gained overseas
• a commitment to exceptional customer service
• to be willing and able to travel intrastate and interstate as required, with occasional overnight or multi-night stays
• confidence working at heights
• the physical fitness and ability to carry a ladder
• a lock-up garage or secure off-street parking to store a company vehicle and equipment

Workplace Defender is a successful, well-established business providing design, construction and installation of custom Height Safety Systems. We are seeking a practical and reliable Fabricator/Installer to join our growing team based in Melbourne's southeastern suburbs.

THE ROLE

This hands-on role involves fabrication and installation of height safety/access systems across commercial, industrial and construction sites both locally and (occasionally) regionally. Your daily tasks will include:-

• fabricating steel and aluminium components in the workshop
• reading and interpreting drawings, plans and installation instructions
• installing roof anchors, static lines, guardrails, walkways and other height safety components
• working safely at heights on active construction sites
• inspecting completed work and ensuring installations meet required standards
• completing job documentation, photographs and site reports
• maintaining tools, equipment and company vehicles

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE

• is physically fit and able to undertake manual handling, working at heights and outdoor work in varying weather conditions
• is confident using hand tools, power tools and fabrication equipment
• is able to read basic technical drawings and accurately measure/install components
• displays a strong understanding of workplace health and safety
• has a current, clean full Victorian driver's licence
• has full unrestricted Australian working rights.

THE ROLE

We are looking for a confident, proactive person to assist with marketing, branding, lead generation and customer service. As part of the marketing and sales team you will report to and assist the General Manager (who is degree qualified in marketing) to grow the profile of the business and drive growth.

This dynamic and exciting role will give you a taste of responsibility across a broad range of tasks.  It will be busy, challenging, and a great learning experience. Although helpful, prior marketing/sales experience is not essential as you will be trained every step of the way.

About Us

WORKPLACE ACCESS & SAFETY is an established, fast-growing company providing inspection and advisory services in Height Safety & Confined Spaces to a wide variety of industries including numerous local and state government agencies.

Following significant and sustained business growth we are looking for an experienced Scheduling Specialist to support the team and lead our scheduling function nationwide. This is a new position within a business where you will have the opportunity to influence daily operations, improve systems and help drive exceptional customer service while supporting strategic growth.

About the role

This role is suitable for someone who can lead a skilled team using their excellent time management and resource optimisation skills.

Working closely with Inspectors, Operations Manager, GMs and the Management Team you will be responsible for co-ordinating inspectors' appointments across Australia, ensuring that work is allocated in a timely and efficient manner, and that schedules are optimised to meet customer and business service commitments.  

Key responsibilities include:-

• co-ordinate and manage inspectors' schedules across the country
• understand the requirement of each customer and organise a suitable inspector, manage scheduling, cancellation and urgent requests accordingly
• identify conflicts or inefficiencies in the schedules and implement practical solutions
• maintain accurate appointment, availability and workload information across systems
• support reporting, scheduling and revenue analysis, and operational co-ordination activities
• collaborate closely with Inspectors, Operations Manager and the Administration Team to achieve strategic goals
• plan and organise travel arrangements for inspectors for inter-city trips
• undertake additional duties as required to support operational outcomes
